Zoya Mod Matte in Gloss!

This post is requested by my silly friend, Karly from NailBehavior. She wanted to know how the Zoya Mod Matte polish looks like with a glossy top coat on. Lolly and Mitzi are of course turns out cream colour, but Phoebe with top coat makes 'her' shimmer glows. They are very pretty both matte and glossy. I super love them so much. And what's best is that their colours are very contrast and bright, not something we found on normal polish. Picture tells a thousand words. :D

If you want to see the 'bright colour contrast' I was telling you about, please click the image and save them to your desktop. View it from your desktop for best image result.

Excuse the messy application, I was in a hurry cause I was going out with my parents and I had to take the picture today, before the sun is out.

Zoya Mod Matte

I was so stoked when I saw Zoya Mod Matte. It came in these 3 colours, Lolly (pink), Mitzi (green), and Phoebe (blue). At that time I was so amazed at matte finish polish so I just bought it without any thinking. Glad I did, I am super happy with the colours, especially Mitzi. I never seen such a beautiful green before! I thought Phoebe would be a cream matte like others but it turns out to have a micro shimmer finish. Even though blue has been my all time favourite colour, Phoebe didn't win my heart. Application was hell when I had long nails. Why? Because Zoya's brush is not big. I didn't know it because these 3 polish were my first Zoya so when I got it, I was pretty disappointed. The brush would just runs out of polish in the middle of my nail in one stroke. Layering the polish makes it looks gooey and ugly, especially with matte polish, they dry quickly, so every layer and stroke you add is really visible. But if you have cute short nails, this is perfect. Adding a glossy top coat makes them looks amazing too! So its really a win win.

China Glaze Skyscrapper & CG In The City

The newest collection from China Glaze offers a lot of city or 'metro' colours, just like the name 'Metro Collection'. The collection offers a range of colours from dark red to to concrete colour. Fans out there were going crazy about this collection, but I don't really feel that hype at all. In fact, I had a hard time deciding which colour I need to get from this collection. My eyes went straight to the glitter polish, and I decided that I need to get CG In The City and Skyscrapper. I don't think I need to review anything like application for China Glaze, as you know, it is amazing.

CG In The City is a very unique colour, clear base, fine glitters in lilac, dark purple (black?) and a little bit of orange. It gives out a dirty city look. It is very pretty and very unique. I can say this colour is my favourite from the collection.

Skyscrapper has a blurple (blue purple) jelly base with blue and silver glitters in it. It looks very gorgeous and reminds me of starry sky above the city. Actually, it reminds me more to Van Gogh's Starry Night painting..

Water Marbling Technique Attempt

Last night i recorded a video for my water marbling technique attempt. A lot of people has been hyped about this technique. And it is a relatively hard technique to be able to be good at. A long time ago I actually tried it for the first time on two nails and I did quite nicely. But it was only two nails! So this time I thought why not make a video on my attempt. I made this attempt along with my Lucky Dip #1 on the last post.

OPI: Dating a Royal

After I cut my nails short, I had no idea on what to do with my nails, so I went for a plain one colour look. From hundreds of polish, I choose OPI Dating a Royal. I always think this blue is super pretty. It is not dark and not light. It's beautiful. Application was nice, as you guys might know, OPI tends to have runny but opaque formula. Over all, I am pretty happy with it.

How do you like 'em?

*Sorry for dull and dirty nails on the image, I took the pic on day 3 after I apply it on my nails, so I had some scratches and dull spot on the nails.*

Teal Toes to Support Ovarian Cancer Awareness

A few days ago my friend asked me if I am going to put up a picture of my Teal Toes to support Ovarian Cancer Awareness. I was super confused because but I don't have exact teal colour. The only two close teal colour I have is Rimmel Sky High and OPI Ski Teal We Drop. Rimmel Sky High is more to turquoise, but I really love the colour, and it looks teal-ish under dimmed light. OPI Ski Teal We Drop is too dark, and the last time i paint it on my toes, it turns out gooey and ugly.

So I choose Rimmel Sky High for my Teal Toes colour! How do you like the colour? It is my favourite colour from my Rimmel collection. And it is one of my earlier collection from back in middle school ^^

What's your Teal Toes looks like?
